Nairobi Half Life & Modeste

Film Africa LIVE! Private launch screening and party

Followed by a Q&A with director David Tosh Gitonga

Nairobi Half LifeMwas is a young aspiring actor, who moves from his home village to Nairobi to try to make the big time. But as he tries to navigate his way through hardship and lack of family support, towards his dream of taking centre stage, he finds himself drawn into a world of small time crooks and deceit in the smoky bustle of Kenya’s capital.

Do means ever justify the ends to reach one’s dream? Played by award-winning actor Joseph Wairimu, this is the evocative and much-awaited new film from One Fine Day productions, which sees famous German filmmaker Tom Tykwer work in collaboration with rising Kenyan film talents.
